ヨルダンカ・ファンダコヴァ

Yordanka Fandakova is a Bulgarian politician and member of the GERB party who currently serves as a Member of the National Assembly. She previously made history as the first female Mayor of Sofia, serving in that capacity from 2009 to 2023. Before her long tenure as mayor, she served as the Minister of Education, Youth and Science in 2009 and worked as a teacher and school principal. Fandakova holds a degree in Russian Studies from Sofia University and has been recognized for her contributions to education and public service, including receiving the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
