金子裕

Yutaka Kaneko is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Sano in Tochigi Prefecture. Born in Sano, he began his career working for the Japanese National Railways and Tokyo Electric Power Company before entering local politics. He served four terms as a member of the Sano City Council and four terms as a member of the Tochigi Prefectural Assembly. Kaneko was first elected mayor in 2021 and secured re-election in 2025. During his tenure, he has focused on local administrative reforms and introduced a partnership oath system for same-sex couples in 2022.
