Yves Coppieters

Yves Coppieters is a Belgian epidemiologist and politician who currently serves as the Minister of Health, Environment, Solidarity and Social Economy in the government of Wallonia, and as the Minister of Health, Equal Opportunities and Women's Rights in the government of the French Community. Prior to his ministerial appointments in 2024, he was a member of the Chamber of Representatives. Known for his background in public health, he has transitioned from his academic and medical career into a prominent role within the Belgian political landscape.
