Zigmantas Balčytis

Zigmantas Balčytis is a Lithuanian politician currently serving as a Member of the Seimas. He has held several high-level government positions throughout his career, including serving as the Minister of Finance from 2005 to 2007 and briefly as the acting Prime Minister of Lithuania in 2006. A long-time member of the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania, he transitioned to the Union of Democrats "For Lithuania" in 2021. His extensive political background also includes service as a Member of the European Parliament.
