Adolf Mkenda

Adolf Faustine Mkenda is a Tanzanian economist and politician currently serving as the Minister of Education, Science, and Technology. An associate professor of Economics at the University of Dar es Salaam, he has held several high-level government positions, including Permanent Secretary for the Ministries of Industry, Trade and Investment, Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, and Natural Resources and Tourism. Since November 2020, he has represented the Rombo constituency in the National Assembly of Tanzania as a member of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi party. He previously served as the Minister of Agriculture before transitioning to his current cabinet role in January 2022.
