井畑明彦

Akihiko Ibata is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Tainai City in Niigata Prefecture. Born in 1961 in the former Nakajo Town, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at Chuo University in 1983. Before entering politics, he had a long career as a local government official, serving in various roles within the Tainai municipal administration, including as the head of the Health and Welfare Division and the General Policy Division. He was first elected mayor in 2017 and has since secured re-election, continuing his service to the city.
