Akihiro Saeki is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kanonji City in Kagawa Prefecture. Born in 1960 in the former town of Onohara, he graduated from Senshu University in 1983 and spent many years working as a secretary for House of Representatives member Hajime Morita, including serving as a secretary to the Minister of Transport. Saeki entered local politics in 2007, winning four consecutive terms as a member of the Kagawa Prefectural Assembly before being elected Mayor of Kanonji in 2021. His political platform focuses on community development and creating a city where residents feel happiness and comfort.
