Representing the Hathras Assembly constituency, which is reserved for the Scheduled Caste community, she secured her seat in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election as a candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party. She won the election by a significant margin, polling over 154,000 votes. Prior to her legislative career, she earned an LLB degree from D.S. College in Aligarh in 1991.
