Ard van der Tuuk

Ard van der Tuuk is a Dutch politician currently serving as the Mayor of Westerkwartier, a position he has held since October 2019. A member of the Labour Party (PvdA), he previously served as a member of the Provincial Council of Drenthe and as a provincial deputy. His career includes experience in automation and education consultancy, as well as roles in regional governance and safety boards. In 2023, he acted as an informateur and formateur for the formation of a provincial coalition in Groningen.
