今井敦

Atsushi Imai is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Chino in Nagano Prefecture. Born in 1961 in Yonezawa, Chino, he graduated from Komazawa University's Faculty of Economics in 1986. Before his tenure as mayor, he served one term as a member of the Chino City Council starting in 2003 and three terms as a member of the Nagano Prefectural Assembly, where he was affiliated with the Liberal Democratic Party. He was first elected as mayor in 2019 and was re-elected to a second term in 2023, both times by acclamation.
