Cass Review
Profile
Hilary Cass is a British paediatrician and academic who serves as a Member of the House of Lords. A former president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, she gained significant national prominence for leading the independent Cass Review, which examined gender identity services for children and young people in England. Her work, which culminated in a 2024 report, highlighted critical gaps in the evidence base for medical interventions such as puberty blockers and led to major reforms in NHS gender identity service provision.
