Cathy Mason

Cathy Mason is a Northern Irish politician serving as a Member of the Northern Ireland Assembly for the South Down constituency, having been elected in the 2022 assembly elections. Prior to her election to the Assembly, she served as a councillor for the Slieve Croob district electoral area on the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, where she was elected in 2019. She further served as the Chairperson of the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council starting in June 2021. Mason represents the Sinn Féin party and continues to be active in regional politics.
