Charles Engola

Charles Okello Macodwogo Engola was a Ugandan politician and retired military colonel who served as the State Minister for Labour, Employment and Industrial Relations. A member of the National Resistance Movement, he previously served as the Oyam District Council Chairperson and as the Minister of State for Defence. Engola was a veteran of the Uganda People's Defence Force, where he commanded the 501 Brigade. He was shot and killed by his bodyguard at his home in May 2023.
