Charles Onen

Charles Onen is a Ugandan politician and Catholic priest who serves as the Member of Parliament for Gulu East constituency. Before entering politics, he served as the second curate of the Holy Rosary Parish Catholic Church for eight years. His decision to run for office as an independent candidate led to his suspension from priestly duties by the Bishop of Gulu Diocese for violating Canon Law regarding active political involvement. In Parliament, he is a member of the Rules Committee and has campaigned on platforms focused on community unity and the improvement of living standards.
