Dean Macpherson

Dean Macpherson is a South African politician serving as the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure since June 2024. A member of the Democratic Alliance, he previously served as a Member of the National Assembly and as the party's provincial chairperson in KwaZulu-Natal. Throughout his career, Macpherson has focused on fiscal oversight and infrastructure reform, notably implementing cost-cutting measures for government accommodation and launching investigations into tender irregularities within the Independent Development Trust. He began his political career as a ward councillor in eThekwini before rising to national prominence.
