Edith López Hernández is a Mexican politician and activist currently serving as a Senator for the 2024–2030 term. A member of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), she previously held roles in the National Action Party (PAN). Her career includes work as a community radio broadcaster, literacy volunteer, and director of the DIF in the municipality of Chamula. In the Senate, she chairs the Commission on Indigenous and Afro-Mexican Peoples and serves on several other committees, including Human Rights and Science and Technology.
