藤本悦志

Etsushi Fujimoto is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Akitakata City in Hiroshima Prefecture. Born in the former Takamiya Town, he graduated from Momoyama Gakuin University before working at the Takamiya Town office and later serving as a postmaster at the Kawane and Yoshida post offices. He was elected mayor in July 2024, campaigning on a platform of improving dialogue with the city council and citizens, following a period of political tension under the previous administration. Fujimoto emphasizes a collaborative approach to municipal governance and has expressed intentions to review specific infrastructure and administrative policies established by his predecessor.
