Fabiano Contarato is a Brazilian politician, law professor, and former police chief serving as a Senator for the state of Espírito Santo. Elected in 2018 as the first openly LGBTQ person in the Brazilian Senate, he has been a prominent voice on human rights, public security, and environmental protection. He has also held leadership roles within the Workers' Party in the Senate and chaired key legislative committees.
