Félix Tshisekedi is a Congolese statesman serving as the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo since 2019. The son of veteran opposition leader Étienne Tshisekedi, he rose through the ranks of the Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS) before winning the 2018 presidential election, marking the country's first peaceful transfer of power since independence.
