Futoshi Ideguchi is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Goto City in Nagasaki Prefecture. Born in Goto, he graduated from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Agriculture in 1999. Before entering local politics, he worked for the National Personnel Authority and later joined the Yomiuri Shimbun. He also served as a policy secretary for House of Councillors member Shigeharu Aoyama from 2016 to 2024. In September 2024, Ideguchi was elected as the Mayor of Goto City with the support of the Liberal Democratic Party and Komeito, marking his first term in office.
