Gijs Degrande is a Belgian politician and member of the New Flemish Alliance (N-VA). Born in Bruges in 1981, he holds a degree in history and previously worked as a policy advisor for the N-VA faction in the Flemish Parliament from 2007 to 2024. Degrande served as a municipal councilor and alderman in Beernem, where he focused on public works, culture, and youth. Elected to the Flemish Parliament in June 2024, he currently serves as vice-chair of the Committee on Housing, Tourism, Energy, and Climate.
