Hélio Fazendeiro

Hélio Fazendeiro is a Portuguese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Covilhã. A native of the city, he holds a degree in Industrial Production and Management Engineering from the University of Beira Interior. Before his election as mayor in 2025, he served as the Chief of Staff to the previous mayor and held various roles in local government, including leadership positions within the Municipal Assembly and the Socialist Party. His political platform focuses on technological innovation, sustainable urban development, affordable housing, and the revitalization of local public spaces.
