村田悠

Harukaze Murata is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Susono, Shizuoka Prefecture. Born in 1987, he graduated from Nihon University before working as a secretary to a member of the House of Councillors and as an executive at a healthcare company. He began his political career as a member of the Susono City Council, serving two terms from 2014 to 2021. In 2022, he was elected Mayor of Susono and was subsequently re-elected in 2026. During his tenure, he has focused on administrative accountability, notably taking decisive action following a child abuse scandal at a local nursery school by filing criminal charges against the facility's director and implementing internal disciplinary measures.
