Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti is an Omani politician and cardiothoracic surgeon currently serving as the Minister of Health of Oman, a position he has held since June 2022. Prior to his ministerial appointment, he served as the Executive President of the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) from 2015 to 2022, where he led significant reforms in medical education and accreditation. A distinguished surgeon, he pioneered several cardiac procedures in the Sultanate, including the first artificial heart transplantation. He holds an MD from Sultan Qaboos University and completed advanced surgical training at McGill University in Canada and Hamburg Eppendorf University Hospital in Germany.
