Hirohumi Yamashita is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the Nagasaki Prefectural Assembly. After graduating from Aoyama Gakuin University, he spent twenty years working in Tokyo, including roles as a secretary to Minister of State for Defense Kazuo Torashima and as a policy secretary to House of Representatives member Yaichi Tanigawa. Upon returning to his hometown of Sasebo, he worked in the private sector and as a nursing home facility manager before being elected to the prefectural assembly in 2019. He has held leadership roles within the assembly, including chair of the Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Economic Committee, and serves as the board chair of the Sazagawa Welfare Association.
