Hironobu Fukaura is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Imari in Saga Prefecture. Born in Imari in 1956, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Kyushu University. Before entering politics, he had a long career as a civil servant in the Imari City government, where he held various leadership roles including head of the Information Promotion Division and Director of the Waterworks Department. He retired from the city administration in 2016 and was first elected mayor in 2018, subsequently winning re-election to continue his service to the city.
