Hirotaka Hashimoto is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Hamura, Tokyo. Born in 1953 in the Nishitama District, he graduated from Komazawa University with a degree in economics. Before his election as mayor, Hashimoto served four terms as a member of the Hamura City Council, where he was first elected in 2007. He assumed the office of mayor in April 2021 after winning the municipal election and was re-elected for a second term in March 2025. He is also known for his leadership within the Liberal Democratic Party's Hamura branch.
