Hiroyuki Kitagawa is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Nabari City in Mie Prefecture. Born in 1959 in Nabari, he graduated from the Doshisha University Faculty of Law. Before entering politics, he worked as a municipal employee for Nabari City and later at a local cable television company. Inspired by his father, a veteran of the battleship Yamato, and former Mie Governor Masayasu Kitagawa, he served five terms as a member of the Mie Prefectural Assembly. He was elected Mayor of Nabari in April 2022 after resigning from his assembly seat.
