Hiroyuki Shimoe is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Shinshiro in Aichi Prefecture. Born in 1965 in what was then Horai Town, he graduated from Doshisha University before working in the private sector. He began his political career as a member of the Shinshiro City Council, serving three terms starting in 2009. In 2021, he was elected as the Mayor of Shinshiro, and he successfully secured re-election in 2025. During his tenure, he has focused on administrative continuity and implemented a partnership oath system for same-sex couples in 2022.
