Ines Kostić

Ines Kostić is a Bosnian-born Dutch politician and political scientist serving as a member of the House of Representatives since 2023. As the first non-binary person elected to the Dutch parliament, they represent the Party for the Animals, focusing on portfolios including environment, agriculture, and social affairs. Before their national mandate, Kostić served in the Provincial Council of North Holland. They are a vocal advocate for animal welfare and nature conservation, having successfully championed motions to restrict the breeding of specific animal breeds. Kostić, who fled the Bosnian War as a child, holds degrees in art, culture, and media studies, as well as political science.
