小出譲治

Joji Koide is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Ichihara, Chiba Prefecture. Born in 1960, he previously worked in the transportation industry, serving as the representative director of Koide Transportation. He began his political career as a member of the Ichihara City Council, serving three terms starting in 2003. In 2015, he was elected Mayor of Ichihara and has since been re-elected twice, running unopposed in 2019 and 2023. During his tenure, he has taken a firm stance against the construction of designated waste disposal sites within the city and implemented fiscal measures such as salary reductions for city officials to fund COVID-19 countermeasures.
