Jay Reedy is an American politician serving as a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives for the 74th district since 2015. A Republican, he represents Houston, Humphreys, and Montgomery Counties. Before his legislative career, Reedy worked as a cattle farmer, locksmith, and army reserve officer, and served on the Houston County election board. In 2019, he unsuccessfully sought the position of Speaker of the House. Reedy is known for his conservative stance and notably supported the 2023 resolution to expel Democratic lawmakers from the legislature for violating decorum rules.
