Julie Morgan is a Welsh Labour politician who served as a Member of the Senedd for Cardiff North from 2011 until 2026. Prior to her time in the Senedd, she served as the Member of Parliament for Cardiff North from 1997 to 2010. Throughout her career, she has been a vocal advocate for women's rights, children's welfare, and social equality, notably promoting all-women shortlists and the Purple Plaques scheme. She also held the position of Deputy Minister for Health and Social Services within the Welsh Government.
