Jumaa Hamidu Aweso

Jumaa Hamidu Aweso is a Tanzanian politician currently serving as the Minister for Water and Irrigation and as a Member of Parliament for the Pangani Constituency. A member of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party since 2012, he has held various internal party leadership roles, including positions within the Regional Executive Council and the National Executive Committee. He previously served as the Deputy Minister for Water and Irrigation before being promoted to his current ministerial role in 2020. Aweso holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Dar es Salaam.
