川俣純子

Junko Kawamata is a Japanese politician and dentist currently serving as the Mayor of Nasukarasuyama in Tochigi Prefecture. Born in 1960, she graduated from the Nippon Dental University and worked as a dentist at her family's clinic before entering politics. She served two terms as a member of the Nasukarasuyama City Council starting in 2010. In 2017, she was elected as the first female mayor in Tochigi Prefecture, and she has since secured re-election, currently serving her third term in office.
