水野光二

Koji Mizuno is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Mizunami in Gifu Prefecture. Born in 1953, he graduated from Nihon University and worked in the private sector before entering politics. He was first elected to the Mizunami City Council in 2003 and subsequently won the mayoral election in 2007 with the support of the Liberal Democratic Party. Over his tenure, he has secured five consecutive terms in office. In June 2026, he announced that he would not seek re-election in the 2027 mayoral race.
