Kouki Sato is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Shiogama, Miyagi Prefecture. Born in 1967, he began his career as a secretary to his father, a former prefectural assembly member, and later worked as a public secretary for a member of the House of Councillors. Sato served four terms as a member of the Miyagi Prefectural Assembly, where he eventually held the position of the 42nd Chairman of the Assembly. He was first elected Mayor of Shiogama in 2019 and was re-elected unopposed in 2023.
