Ichiro Kanke is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives. Born in Aizu-Wakamatsu, Fukushima, he previously served as the Mayor of Aizu-Wakamatsu for three terms, as well as a member of the Fukushima Prefectural Assembly and the Aizu-Wakamatsu City Council. During his tenure in national politics, he has held positions including Parliamentary Vice-Minister of the Environment and Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Cabinet Office, as well as State Minister for Reconstruction.
