Kate Nevens

Kate Nevens is a Scottish politician who has served as a Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Edinburgh and Lothians East region since May 2026. A member of the Scottish Greens, she previously stood as a candidate in the 2017 City of Edinburgh Council election, the 2019 UK General Election for Edinburgh South, and the 2021 Scottish Parliament election. During her 2026 campaign, Nevens gained attention for her support of prison abolition in Scotland. She was elected to the Scottish Parliament as a list MSP following the 2026 election.
