松浦加代子

Kayoko Matsuura is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Konan City in Shiga Prefecture. Born in 1963 in what is now Konan City, she graduated from the Shiga University Faculty of Education. Before entering politics, she had a long career in the local education system, serving as an elementary school teacher, vice principal, principal, and eventually as the Superintendent of Education for Konan City. She was elected as mayor in October 2024 after defeating other candidates in the municipal election, succeeding the former mayor Kunio Ikuta.
