Kazuhiko Ako is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Katsuragi City in Nara Prefecture. Born in 1958 in what is now Katsuragi, he graduated from Shinshu University's Faculty of Engineering in 1981 and later served as the representative director of Ako Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. His political career began in 2001 when he was elected to the Taima Town Council. Following the merger that created Katsuragi City, he served as a member of the Katsuragi City Council. In 2016, he was elected Mayor of Katsuragi, defeating the incumbent, and has since been re-elected twice, most recently in 2024.
