Kazuo Momma is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Minamisoma City in Fukushima Prefecture. Born in 1954, he graduated from Tohoku University's Faculty of Engineering in 1978 and began a long career as a local government official in Haramachi City. Following the 2006 municipal merger that created Minamisoma, he held various administrative roles, including serving as the city's Economic Department Director. After retiring from the municipal government, he was elected to the Minamisoma City Council in 2014. He was first elected mayor in 2018 and has since secured re-election, currently serving his third term in office.
