Kenichi Suzuki is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Ise, Mie Prefecture. Born in 1975 in Ise, he graduated from Tenri University before working in the private sector at Round One Corporation. He began his political career as a secretary to a member of the House of Representatives and subsequently served two terms as a member of the Ise City Council. First elected as Mayor of Ise in 2009, he has since been re-elected multiple times, including a fifth term in 2025. During his tenure, he has focused on local administrative reforms, including measures to reduce executive compensation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
