Kenichi Yoshizumi is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Shinjuku, a position he has held since 2014. Born in Shinjuku, he graduated from Nihon University and began his career as a secretary to politician Kaoru Yosano. He served as a member of the Shinjuku Ward Assembly and the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly before being elected mayor.
