福田健次

Kenji Fukuda is a Japanese politician and former actor who currently serves as the Mayor of Nakama City in Fukuoka Prefecture. Born on October 11, 1960, he previously enjoyed a successful career as a local television personality and actor, appearing in various tokusatsu series such as Ultraman 80 and the Kamen Rider franchise. After moving to Fukuoka in 1993, he became a well-known media figure before entering politics. He was first elected as mayor in 2017 and has since been re-elected, currently serving his third term. In 2023, he faced controversy and a non-binding resignation recommendation from the city council following inappropriate remarks made at a public meeting, though he remains in office.
