大西賢治

Kenji Onishi is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Shikokuchuo City in Ehime Prefecture. Born in Kawanoe City (now part of Shikokuchuo), he graduated from the Waseda University Faculty of Law in 1988. He spent his career as a local government official, holding various leadership roles including Director of the Welfare Department and Director of the Policy Department before retiring from the city office in 2023. In April 2025, he was elected as the Mayor of Shikokuchuo City after running as an independent candidate, emphasizing his extensive administrative experience to drive strategic change for the city.
