Khalilur Rahman

Khalilur Rahman is a Bangladeshi diplomat and economist currently serving as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh. Born in 1954, he studied economics at the University of Dhaka before earning a Master's degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a doctorate in economics from the Harvard Kennedy School. He has a distinguished career in the Bangladesh Civil Service and the United Nations, notably working on least developed countries, serving as High Representative for the Rohingya crisis, and being elected as President of the United Nations General Assembly for its 81st session.
