Kim Yong-pan is a South Korean politician and former police official currently serving as the Mayor of Dalseo District in Daegu. After passing the 30th Public Administration Examination, he transitioned to a career in law enforcement, eventually rising to the rank of Commissioner of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. He served as a member of the 21st National Assembly representing Dalseo-gu, Daegu, before being elected as the Mayor of Dalseo District in 2026. Throughout his career, he has been affiliated with the People Power Party and its predecessors.
