Kristrún Frostadóttir is an Icelandic politician and economist serving as the Prime Minister of Iceland since December 2024. A member of the Social Democratic Alliance, she has led the party since 2022 and was elected to the Althing in 2021. Before entering politics, she held various roles in the financial sector, including as an economist for the Icelandic Chamber of Commerce and Kvika bank, and worked as a specialist for Morgan Stanley. She holds degrees from the University of Iceland, Yale University, and Boston University.
