森澤恭子

Kyoko Morisawa is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Shinagawa Ward in Tokyo. Born in Chigasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, she began her career at Nippon Television before working for Trenders and Mori Building. She entered politics in 2017, serving two terms as a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly, where she founded the independent parliamentary group 'Tokyo Mirai.' Elected as Mayor of Shinagawa in 2022, she has focused on policies such as free school lunches and the promotion of organic food in public schools. She is a strong advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and the Tokyo partnership system.
